In my opinion, the government should reconsider their way of handling disaster declarations. The fact that 4 people are recognized as disaster-related deaths in Ishikawa prefecture, just because of a natural disaster , makes me wonder if it's not getting out of hand.

I think the system is being abused to get more compensation from the government. If they can declare someone dead due to a natural disaster, why not for other reasons? It's hard to verify the cause of death anyway, but at least we should be able to rely on some criteria

What do you think? Shouldn't there be more rules and regulations in place for disaster declarations?

これもまた、現実は残念で。能登半島で亡くなった人が災害関連死として認識されることは、心にしばらくつづくことができない。政府が災害対策を整える努力を進めるようすれば、できるだけ少なくするようにしたいと思っているんだけど…… それでも、人生は短くて、いつも不安なものになることはないのか？ でも、まだ頑張る力があるなら、今から立ち直っていくことができるし、頑張ってほしい 。

Ability of disaster-related death certification is important for victims' families, but I think it's still a big burden on them. 463 people in the affected area are certified as disaster-related deaths, and it's sad to see that many more have died from indirect causes like house collapse. I hope that everyone who was displaced during the earthquake will be accounted for soon. It's a heavy toll on the local community, and I can only imagine how difficult it must be for them to deal with all these deaths...

能登半島の地震はすごいことだね… 亡くなった人たちは誰でも悲しい話です。災害関連死ということは、死んだ人の家族が安心できるようにもって重要なものだと思って思います。避難した人の体が見つからないと、何もすることができなくて、多くの人が困っているのを聞いて、心配しています。

 

[永遠の命]

これは残念な話だね。直接死も含めると691人亡くなったって、どの家庭でも心が折れると思います。能登半島では12月3日で大きな地震があって、津波などで家屋が崩壊して多くの人が亡くなりました。災害関連死を認定するのは初めてです。 8000人以上の避難者もありますが、一部の人たちの体の位置が見つかなかったり、確認できないから避難した人たちを確認するのも難しい状況になっているんです。
