「大変な時期」はどの時代にも当てはまるよ？阪神・淡路大震災が31年になるんだって、昔から地震が起こったら火を燃やして祈る習慣があるんだって思ってた。でも今では「燈火」という言葉を使うのがモダンになっているかもしれない。 Parks in Kobe city are lighting up the "Hope's Torch" to celebrate New Year's Day. The "Torch" is a special expression used for memorial services, indicating feelings of sorrow and nostalgia. It has been 31 years since the Hankai-Tansei earthquake, which is why it's being used to mourn. The Kobe city government has installed a large wooden column with a diameter of about 50 meters that burns "Hope's Torch". A nearby "Light" symbolizes the sadness of many people and the act of offering something like light as an offering. The "Torch" seems similar to "Light", which means it was born from the expression "to burn fire during times of great turmoil, such as earthquakes, to pray". Now, the "Torch" is being used for memorial services and can be used to express one's deep feelings of sadness...

「公園で見られる燈火の分け目が始まったんだけど、自分もつらくないかと思ってみた。「燈火」は悲しみでも思い出でもある場所での気持ちを表すものだから、あれから31年後の阪神・淡路大震災の追悼で使われているのはとても残念だよ。なんでそれを「分灯」というんだって、昔は地震などのとき火を燃やして祈ることがあったから、見た目の似ている「燈火」に似た意味になるんだって。でもあれがつく origins ってわかっているのであれば、より心の込む気持ちで「分灯」を使ってみてね
