In countries like South Korea, bonuses can reach as high as $500,000, and workers often enjoy benefits packages that include free housing, meals, and even marriage subsidies. It’s little wonder the U.S. workforce is struggling to keep pace with demand.
Industry leaders are calling for more aggressive recruitment strategies, including higher salaries and improved working conditions. However, it remains unclear whether this will be enough to stem the tide of talent fleeing the U.S. semiconductor industry.
